NuArca opens up NFTs market in Asia with EAFF championship deal

June 1 – The East Asia Football Federation (EAFF) has stuck a deal with NuArca Labs who will become the regional associations Official NFT Partner with a focus on the upcoming 2022 EAFF E-1 Football Championship to be played in Japan in July.

In partnership with NuArca Labs, the EAFF will launch a new digital collectibles marketplace for the EAFF E-1 Football Championship Final 2022 taking place giving fans a chance to own a piece of the best moments from the EAFF’s Men’s and Women’s Competitions.

The marketplace will be the first significant NFT platform launch for a major Asian football competition.

The EAFF is celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2022 and the NFT marketplace will feature digital collectibles from EAFF competitions played over the past 20 years.

It will be the 9th edition of the men’s championship that was originally scheduled to be held in China before it was switched to Japan in April once it became clear the pandemic would not be sufficiently under control in China to host.

Japan, China, South Korea and Hong Kong will contest the men’s competition while Japan, China, South Korea and Chinese Taipei will compete for the women’s championship.

NuArca said that it “creates safe and engaging NFT experiences that bring fans closer to the action on the pitch. NuArca specializes in creating platforms that merge offline and online fan engagement, giving supporters a unique way to celebrate the athletes and moments they love.”
