June 23 – From a starting entry of 84 nations, 24 have now qualified for the finals of the FIFAe Nations Cup 2022 to be held July 24 to July 30 in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The 24 nations will compete for a share of the $400,000 prize money in a 2v2 format (teams have one sub).
The finals format will Four groups of six play each other in a round-robin format. The top four nations of every group qualify for the knockout stage. The draw for the competition’s group stage will take place on 4 July.
FIFA said that the 84 nations that competed in this season’s FIFAe Nations Series, was a rise of over 40% on last year. The top teams from the first qualification steps qualified for the FIFAe Nations Playoffs.
The 24 qualified nations are: Denmark, England, Poland, Spain, Germany, Portugal, Sweden, Netherlands, Scotland, Israel, Italy, France, Singapore, Japan, India, Korea Republic, United Arab Emirates, Morocco, Kazakhstan, Mexico, Canada, Argentina, Brazil, Peru
India, Singapore, and the United Arab Emirates are all first time participants in the finals.
