Puma laces long term AC Milan deal, adding naming rights to youth training complex

June 29 – Serie A champions AC Milan have agreed a long term extension with kit supplier Puma in what is being described as one of the biggest partnerships the club has ever signed.

Puma – who took over the AC Milan kit in 2018 after a 20-year run with Adidas – will continue as the club’s Principal Partner, the Global Technical Supplier, and the Official Licensed Partner.

New to the deal will see Puma become the official naming partner of AC Milan’s youth training complex –  the Vismara Sports Center – which will be renamed the ‘PUMA House of Football’.

AC Milan won the Serie A championship last season with the youngest team in modern history. Puma is focusing its sponsorship message with the training centre on  investing in the next generation of youth players and to “help support women’s football”.

“The center will also be home to brand and community activations, hosting partnership events and key initiatives in the city,” said the club.

“This is a fantastic next step for our partnership with AC Milan, two brands with a focus on diversity, inclusivity, innovation, performance and football culture,” said Bjørn Gulden, Chief Executive Officer, Puma.

“Our aim is to drive performance innovation and lifestyle apparel on and off pitch. We want to continue to be two of the most sustainable brands in football and support women’s football.

Puma will continue to supply kit for the men’s, women’s, and youth teams, and use the fashion culture of Milan to develop performance and off-pitch lifestyle product ranges.

Over the years, working side by side with PUMA has allowed us to build a solid and authentic partnership based on performance, football culture and shared values, always with a progressive approach,” commented Ivan Gazidis, AC Milan CEO. “We are excited to start this new chapter in our relationship, which will focus strongly on the development of women’s football and the next generation of talent, both of which are perfectly aligned with our vision for the Club.”
