Wembley to host England vs Brazil Women’s Finalissima in 2023

October 26 – Wembley will host the second Finalissima next year – the newly created match-up between the national champions of UEFA and Conmebol – but this time it will be the women’s edition.

England will face Brazil in London on April 6, 2023. Tickets will go on sale on October 31. Ticket prices start at £7.50 for children aged 16 or under and £15 for adults

This will be the first edition of the UEFA-Conmebol Women’s Finalissima. Wembley hosted the first men’s Finalissima between EURO 2020 winners Italy and Conmebol Copa América champions Argentina in front of a sold-out Wembley crowd in the July. Argentina won 3-0 courtesy of a Lionel Messi masterclass.

The Women’s Finalissima continues a series of major women’s international matches in London featuring England. In July England beat Germany to win the women’s Euros and last month beat world champions USA, both games in front of sold-out crowds.

The game against Brazil comes three months before the start of the Women’s World Cup 2023 in Australia/New Zealand.

The now long-standing co-operation between UEFA and Conmebol has grown in the number of inter-confederation competition initiatives at age-group levels and in other football disciplines.

The Under-20 Intercontinental Cup 2022, saw UEFA Youth League winners S.L. Benfica’s overcome Uruguay’s Club Atlético Peñarol at the Estadio Centenario in August in Montevideo, Uruguay.

In September, the winners of the 2018 and 2022 UEFA Futsal EURO, Portugal, and the seven-time Futsal EURO winner Spain contested a final four tournament with 2022 CONMEBOL Copa América de Futsal winners Argentina and runners-up Paraguay in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Portugal won the tournament.
