William Hill stake claim on Celtic Park betting facilities in 2-year deal

November 2 – Glaswegian giants Celtic have announced bookmaker William Hill as the club’s official in-stadium betting partner.

The two-season partnership will see William Hill run the betting facilities at Celtic Park. The agreement marks a significant re-entry into Scottish football for the bookmaker.

In February 2020 William Hill ended a decade-long sponsorship of the Scottish Cup.

William Hill had been title sponsors of the Scottish Cup and Official Betting Partner of the Scotland National Team since 2011, and they became sponsors of the South Stand at Hampden Park in 2015.

A Celtic Park, William Hill said they will enhance fans’ matchday experience and offer supporters exclusive offers and promotions.

Adrian Filby, Celtic commercial director, said: “We are very pleased to be partnering with an industry leader in William Hill. We are certain that supporters who use this service will benefit from an enhanced stadium experience throughout the season.”

William Hill has been part of the local community for decades and has recently refurbished its retail shop outside Paradise. Taking over the in-ground betting operations gives the company a greater and more integrated local presence.

Liam McKee, Director of Media, Sponsorship & UK Creative, said: “We are delighted to partner up with Celtic at their iconic home and deliver our unrivalled retail betting experience to the Celtic faithful. It promises to be another exciting season at Paradise, and we are thrilled to be along for the journey.”

Celtic currently top the Scottish Premiership after 12 games, four points ahead of cross city rivals Rangers. Tonight they play away at Real Madrid in their final Champions League group game, but are out of contention for the Round of 16.
