Ronaldo on brink of $208m deal to join Saudi Arabia’s Al Nassr, reports

December 1 – Cristiano Ronaldo is on the verge of a sensational move to leading Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr according to unconfirmed reports.

The Portuguese superstar, currently leading his side at the World Cup in Qatar, is claimed to have agreed a record-breaking, eye-watering $208 million a year deal to join Al Nassr, one of the most successful clubs in Saudi Arabia with nine league titles.

The 37-year-old, who made history when he became the first player to score in five World Cups in Portugal’s head-to-head with Ghana last week, had his Manchester United contract terminated earlier this month following an explosive TV interview in which he criticised both the club and manager Erik ten Hag saying he felt “betrayed”.

Ronaldo reportedly rejected a move to Saudi Arabia last summer but now looks set to make the move to the Middle East on a two-and-half-year deal that would see him playing until he is 40.

However, there has been no official announcement yet from Al Nassr.
