UEFA boosts digital capability with 8-year Atos partnership

December 8 – Digital transformation Atos has signed an eight-year deal to become a UEFA National Team Football partner.

The partnership, which will run until 2030, sees Atos designated as UEFA’s Official Technology Partner for all men’s national team competitions.

Atos will work with UEFA to optimise its complex technology landscape and operations, in particular supporting the Euros, Nations League Finals, European Qualifiers, U-21 Championships, and the Futsal Euro.

“The world is becoming more digitalised and with Atos onboard as our technology partner, we are ensuring we will have all the necessary technological expertise to help deliver our competitions to the millions of fans around the globe,” said UEFA marketing director, Guy-Laurent Epstein.

UEFA said Atos will manage and securing the underlaying hybrid-cloud environment and the infrastructure required to host UEFA’s services, applications, and data. Atos will also offer its cybersecurity services.

Atos will also work across UEFA’s wider IT operations and improve the internal user experience.

Nourdine Bihmane, co-CEO in charge of tech foundations, Atos said: “Our teams will leverage their expertise in cloud, cybersecurity, integration, digital sovereignty and digital workplace services to manage and modernize UEFA’s digital backbone to deliver outstanding events for the benefit of all football fans.”
