Barca to test new tech museum exhibits at temporary site as Nou Camp redevelops

December 29 – FC Barcelona, currently revamping its Camp Nou complex and stadium, have commissioned Mediapro Exhibitions to create a temporary museum for the club.

The museum space will open while the works of the Camp Nou are being carried out and until the new museum’s new site is opened in refurbished stadium at the end of the2024/25 season.

The temporary museum will feature holograms, augmented and immersive reality installations which will eventually become part of the new museum. Some of the exhibits will serve as a pilot test for the future museum.

Mediapro created Barcelona’s current museum in 2010, and which has since become one of the most visited museum attractions in Catalonia.

The new museum space will be located on the ground floor of the current ice rink and will occupy 2,400 sqm.

and will represent a technological benchmark designed to continue contributing even greater  economic value to the Club.

Mediapro Exhibitions has developed an expertise on what it calls “sports-themed museography” and football in particular. The company has developed The Camp Nou Experience, Museo del Deano and Messi10 Challenge in Barcelona; Territorio Atleti, Tour Bernabéu and Fernando Alonso Collection in Madrid; Atletic Club Museoa in  Bilbao; eFootball, The Virtual Pitch in Zurich;  Museu Seleção Brasileira in Rio de Janeiro and Mondo Milan in Milan. The company is currently developing projects for FIFA and Manchester City.
