February 7 – M&T Bank has become a partner of the upcoming Summit on Female Leadership in Sport, which will be hosted by Mastercard in New York on March 7, and which is organised by the Sport Integrity Global Alliance (SIGA).

M&T Bank joins as a session partner that will focus on the key role of male allies to female leadership in sport. The panel will feature Jan Liebchen, Head of Strategic Partnerships at M&T Bank, along with Randal Tucker from Mastercard.

The Summit will bring together some of the most influential stakeholders in the industry via live panels, keynote speeches, and one-on-one interviews discussing the challenges and opportunities facing women in leadership roles in sport.

The summit will be opened by English FA chair Debbie Hewitt, while football will also be represented by Jessica Berman, commissioner of the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) in the US.

Other speakers include Alison Giordano, senior VP global sponsorships, Mastercard; Angela Ruggiero, CEO and co-founder of the Sports Innovation Lab; and Lisa Murray, executive VP, chief marketing officer and chief diversity officer, Octagon.

Topics covered will include good governance, female leadership in action, athlete activism, mentorship, youth development and protection of female athletes, and commercialising women’s sport.

“We are honoured to welcome the Chairwoman of the The FA, Debbie Hewitt MBE, as our guest speaker at the SIGA Summit,” said Katie Simmonds, SIGA COO and Managing Director of the SIGA Women Programme. “Debbie Hewitt’s exceptional leadership, foresight and experience will be an invaluable addition to the conversation. She will undoubtedly  inspire  both the current and the next generation of female leaders in Sport.”
