Bulgarian FA asks its clubs and fans to play nice in final two rounds of league season

May 31 – Bulgarian Football Union (BFU) has called on all clubs in the elite division of Bulgaria’s efbet League, to observe the fair play in the final matches of the season.

There are only two more rounds left until the end of the championship in Bulgaria, with just a one point difference between CSKA at the top of the league over Ludogorets.

The BFU announced that they will monitor the matches and if violations are found, the clubs in question will be punished.

CSKA has upcoming matches against CSKA 1948 and Levski, while Ludogorets will play against Levski and  Cherno more.

“The Committee on Ethics and Fair Play to the Bulgarian Football Union sends an official appeal to all participants in the football process to strictly observe the rules of ethics and fair play in the final rounds of the football season,” said the request.

“We believe that the protection of fair play and the trust of the football public towards fair and dignified competition on the field is key to the authority of Bulgarian football.

“The Commission strictly monitors the development of football matches and the behavior of all participants in them. Necessary measures will be taken and applied when violations are detected,” the statement continued.

“We appeal to football fans to respect the public order at the stadiums before, during and after the matches and not to use pyrotechnic devices dangerous to life and health.

“The committee reminds the organisers of the matches to exercise a strict access regime to prevent the introduction of prohibited items into the stadium.

“We appeal to the entire football community with a call for joint efforts in protecting the image of football and fair play!”
