Mollahasan announces Efbet renewal for Arda, then resigns

October 3 – Bulgaria’s Arda Kardzhali has renewed its sponsorship contract with the Bulgarian bookmaker efbet. The new contract is for five years but no value for the sponsorship has been announced.

Arda president Ahmed Mollahasan announced the extension before also announcing he is resigning from the management of the club and giving his shares to his partner Yashar Durmushev.

“Dear Arda fans, I am using our club website to make a clarification. During this week, I, as the owner of the shares of FC Arda, will transfer them to Yashar Durmushev, after which he will become the sole owner of the club. A year and a half ago, when the team was abandoned by the previous owners, Yashar and I took over the management of our beloved team. Then the two of us set two goals: to stabilize Arda financially, then to become a factor in the home championship again. Now I can boldly say that these two goals have been achieved,” said Kardzhali.

“I want to say a huge thank you to all of you, with whom we have been together all this time in every single game, no matter if we won or lost. I want to thank all the coaches and players from the club, with whom we had many occasions for joy. I can’t help but express my immense gratitude to the mayor of Kardzhali, Prof. Dr. Eng. Hasan Aziz, who was constantly behind the team and helped with everything he could. However, the most important person was Yashar Durmushev, who took over the financing of the team, and I can safely say that Arda is one of the few teams in Bulgaria that has no financial obligations,” he added.
