October 5 – Turkey’s Besiktas says it has signed the most valuable sponsorship deal in its 120-year history with Turkey’s largest industrial Turkey – Tüpraş.
The deal will see Beşiktaş’s stadium in Istanbul renamed the Tüpraş Stadium for the next three years.
“We came together for the highest-priced sponsorship agreement in Beşiktaş history. It took some time to sign it, but it turned out the way we wanted. Tüpraş is a national giant. The coming together of two brands with a great history is important for both brands. I am also happy that our brand came together with Tüpraş, a national brand,” said the president of Besiktas Ahmet Nur Çebi.
“I would also like to thank other institutions and organizations that held sponsorship negotiations with us. May the sponsorship agreement we signed be beneficial to our community and Tüpraş. It is also important to spend that income properly, as well as signing sponsorship agreements with high prices”, said the president of Besiktas Ahmet Nur Çebi at the signing ceremony.
Tüpraş General Manager İbrahim Yelmenoğlu emphasised that the partnership is part of his company’s sustainability programme that it has put at the front of its commercial discussions.
