Puma keeps ball in play at LaLiga with early multi-year renewal

November 21 – Puma are extending their five-year official ball sponsorship with LaLiga with a new multi-year deal starting with the 2024/25 season.

Puma have been the ball supplier for LaLiga EA Sports and LaLiga Hypermotion (Spain’s top two tiers) since the start of the 2019/20 season.

The two partners said that the new deal will take “their relationship even further with the creation of special editions and series that will focus on the values shared by both brands and the various milestones in the season.”

The partnership is not just about providing LaLiga’s professional leagues with best in class ball technology, but also sees Puma involved in youth projects with LaLiga Acadmey and social initiatives including LaLiga Genuine.

“At LaLiga we are very satisfied with the expansion of our partnership with PUMA, they are a strategic partner that we are collaborating with us not only on the growth of our competition, but also for the development of our brand and our evolution,” said Óscar Mayo, executive director of LaLiga.

No value was given for the new partnership which both sides emphasized was global in its remit.

Javier Ortega, General Manager Europe for Puma commented “We are delighted to continue our partnership with LaLiga, a collaboration that allows us to encourage the sporting spirit and passion for football all around the world. With LaLiga, we have reached great goals, and the renewal of this agreement is testimony to our long-term commitment to innovation as a development context. We are sure that this association will allow us to continue innovating in many areas, from sports technology and research to product design.”
