February 2 – Despite its clubs and national team still being banned from official competition, Russia will be represented at UEFA’s annual congress in Paris next week.
The Russian state-run news agency Tass reports that the delegation will be led by the president of the Russian Football Federation (RFU), Alexander Dyukov who is still a member of the UEFA executive committee.
Significantly however the question of possible reintegration of Russia into international competitions is not on the agenda of either the congress or the executive committee which precedes it.
The main exco items are the revenue distribution system, a Euro 2024 update and UEFA’s 2024–30 strategy.
