UEFA renews Swissquote for Europa and Conference leagues

February 28 – Swissquote has extended its sponsorship of the Europa League and Conference League for the 2024-2027 competition cycle.

Swissquote became the first online bank to enter an exclusive partnership with both of UEFA’s competitions in 2021, signing a three-year deal which was set to expire in the summer.

The original agreement has played a pivotal role in the expansion of the firm, growing its influence not only within Switzerland but also beyond European borders.

With the renewed sponsorship, Swissquote retains perimeter advertising and hospitality rights at all matches. The agreement also involves a collaborative effort with UEFA, extending until 2027, to create content for social media and digital marketing campaigns.

Guy-Laurent Epstein, UEFA marketing director, said: “We are excited to continue having Swissquote as a sponsor of the UEFA Europa League and UEFA Conference League for the new competition cycle, which will feature the new league phase format. Our partnership has proven successful for all sides, so we are very pleased to continue working together as we embark on the next phase of our journey.”

Swissquote joins Engelbert Strauss as partners of UEFA’s secondary and tertiary competitions for the 2024–27 cycle.

Marc Bürki, CEO of Swissquote, said: “Our partnership with UEFA has already significantly enhanced Swissquote’s brand awareness throughout Europe, transforming fans into loyal customers. Extending this agreement ensures the continuation of our success. Football stands for passionate competition, the pursuit of triumph, and the spirit of enthusiasm shared by all. These are values that align perfectly with our company and our partnership with customers. We are thrilled to sustain our support for their favourite teams and meet them at the stadium.”

The Europa League and Conference League return to action in a week’s time, with the Round of 16 formally beginning after the playoffs met their conclusion last week.
