March 12 – The Romanian Football Federation (FRF) and online bookmaker Betano, part of Kaizen Gaming, have extended their strategic partnership until 2030, becoming the brand’s longest partnership globally.
“The extension of the partnership represents an important stage in the collaboration and demonstrates their joint commitment to promote excellence in sport in Romania,” said an FRF statement.
“In the last two years, FRF and Betano have joined their vision and experience to develop the Betano Romanian Cup, one of the most loved football competitions in Romania. The current competitive season featured a new Cup format that brought the spectacle closer to fans in the stands and at home.”
As part of the naming rights collaboration, Betano alongside the FRF, media partners and teams that have qualified for the Betano Romania Cup, has developed campaigns aimed at increasing the visibility of the competition. The latest initiative is the development of TV and digital show Bate Cupa, which focusses on the 24 qualified group teams using players in a general entertainment environment.
“The history of good collaboration with FRF and the common perspective on the potential of sport in Romania have given us the best premises to continue this partnership, which thus becomes our most extensive collaboration at the global level,” said Julio Iglesias, CCO Kaizen Gaming.
“It is a special moment, as we mark the longest partnership extension ever recorded by the FRF – a 6-year extension of our collaboration with Betano for the Romanian Cup.
