April 30 – Manchester United are willing to listen to offers for a vast majority of their first-team squad this summer as new investor Sir Jim Ratcliffe masterminds a total revamp.

The wholescale squad restructuring, according to the BBC, is understood to include the sale of England forward Marcus Rashford though youngsters Rasmus Hojlund, Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho are thought to be exempt.

United seem likely to have to either finish sixth in the Premier League or beat Manchester City in the FA Cup final to qualify for the Europa League. They are currently sixth, one point ahead of Newcastle, who they play at Old Trafford on May 15.

United boss Erik ten Hag has reportedly spent more than £400 million in three transfer windows since becoming manager in 2022.

Some experienced players will leave as their contracts have expired while Ten Hag’s own future is also under scrutiny.
