US giant Aramark signs partnership for Everton’s new the Bramley-Moore dock stadium

August 12 – A week on from lifting FC Barcelona out of LaLiga financial fair play danger, US catering giant Aramark has secured a partnership with Premier League Everton, becoming the Official Culinary Experience Partner for Everton’s new stadium in the Bramley-Moore dock area of Liverpool.

Marking Aramark’s debut in English football, the deal will kick off in August 2025 in time with the opening of the 52,888-seat stadium.

The partnership will take advantage of the development of a new Fanzone at the new stadium, known as The Plaza, a and will also see the creation of over 1,200 jobs at the club, with wider development initiatives planned for the near future.

The key focus area will be on establishing ‘frictionless operations’ at key touchpoints across the stadium including self-service beer systems, ‘immersive’ food and beverage zones, and dark kitchen collection points.

With a goal to create an inclusive and vibrant destination, Aramark aim to christen their Premier League debut with ‘first-class food and drink, serviced in a speedy fashion’.

Helen Milligan-Smith, CEO and President at Aramark UK said: “We are thrilled to be chosen as the global partner for Everton FC. Our shared commitment to delivering remarkable experiences means we are developing something truly extraordinary for the launch of the new stadium.

“It’s important to us that we go above and beyond to forge strong connections not only with our venues, but with the wider community too. The introduction of a new social enterprise programme is a great example of this, and we look forward to working with the Club to champion local produce and provide training and job opportunities to local people across Liverpool.”

Last week Aramark step outside its normal catering business comfort zone to help FC Barcelona, distancing the club from the danger of breaking LaLiga’s financial rules by agreeing to pick up the debt owed by German football investment business Libero.

The deal saw €40 million paid over immediately as Aramark took the 10% of shares in the Bridgeburg Invest company, the holding company of Barça Studios, with a further €60 million to be paid by the end of the year.

The final amount is to be paid between three Barça sponsors: Nike, Spotify and Aramark.
