Adidas and Juventus reach for the stars

November 11 – Football as fashion is becoming the norm, however Italian giants, Juventus and one of the world’s biggest apparel companies, Adidas, are taking it a step further, and adding the element of science.

The two organisations have teamed together to launch a NASA-themed lifestyle collection that takes fan apparel to new heights.

Juventus recently presented a space-travel-inspired matchday jerseys, expanding into a lifestyle range that includes apparel like the LFSTLR Jersey, a reversible bomber jacket, a T-shirt, and a full-body tracksuit.

The true star of the collection is the LFSTLR Jersey, designed to honour humanity’s achievements in space. Inspired by the lunar surface, the jersey features an all-over reflective print that mimics the rugged terrain of the moon.

For those supporters with more rugged tastes the reversible bomber jacket is a show-stopping piece in the collection, representing the moon’s light and dark sides. Each side of the jacket offers a distinct space-travel-inspired aesthetic, allowing fans to choose their look based on their mood.

No promotion would be complete though, without a film.

Adidas, who have one of the most innovative marketing and publicity departments in the business have released a short film titled Let the Stars Guide Us. The film follows a lone astronaut as they navigate the historic streets of Turin, drawing a parallel between space exploration and the journey of football. This metaphorical journey, filled with discovery and triumph, echoes the determination and glory of the sport, highlighting the collection’s mission to inspire.

The management of Juventus will be hoping that the inspiration theme transfers its way to the pitch rapidly. The club currently sits in 6th place of the Serie A standings after 11 match days, and finds themselves four points off the pace set by league leaders Napoli.
