May 23 – Rematch, a new video gaming football title is set to launch June 19, offering an alternative take on the genre with a third-person, player-controlled format that is based on stripped-back, skill-based gameplay.

The game has not licensed any official player likenesses, and is not played in recognisable stadiums. Rather than play in an 11-a-side format, matches are 5-a-side,
Rather than looking to rival EA Sports’ brand loyalty and image licensing, Rematch is looking to create an alternative experience that focuses on football itself rather than the names and faces attached to it.
