Argentina drawn against Italy in U20 World Cup Chile 2025. Hosts open against Kiwis

June 1 – The group draw for the U-20 World Cup was held in Santiago at the end of last week and saw hosts Chile opening their campaign in Group A against New Zealand before facing Japan and Egypt.

The 24th edition of the tournament will feature 52 matches, which will be staged from September 27 to 19 October 19 across four host Cities: Santiago, Valparaíso, Rancagua and Talca. Chile will

Argentina, who have won the U20 title a record six times, head group D alongside Italy, Australia and Cuba.

South American rivals and five-time champions Brazil, have been grouped with Mexico, Morocco and Spain in Group C.

New Caledonia, making their debut in the tournament, will face USA, France and South Africa in Group E.

Tickets have gone on sale this weekend.
