June 6 – German automaker Volkswagen has been announced as an Official Global Partner for UEFA Women’s Euro 2025, taking place across Switzerland from July 2-27.
The partnership grants Volkswagen prominent visibility through in-game LED perimeter boards and media backdrops throughout the tournament, while enabling the brand to run football-focused promotional campaigns.
With the tournament spanning eight venues and Volkswagen already partnering with seven national teams, the automaker’s logo will have significant exposure across the championships.
The company previously sponsored the 2022 edition of the tournament in England.
“UEFA is delighted to welcome Volkswagen back as an official UEFA Women’s EURO sponsor,” said Guy-Laurent Epstein, UEFA marketing director. “Their continued support demonstrates a shared belief in the power and potential of the women’s game. As the tournament approaches across Switzerland, this partnership helps us deliver a record-breaking competition while driving meaningful investment into women’s football growth and creating opportunities for women and girls at every level.”
Christine Wolburg, Chief Brand Officer of Volkswagen Passenger Cars, emphasized the brand’s commitment: “Promoting women’s football and women in football is central to our dedication to female empowerment and equality in sport. We’ve maintained this commitment with deep conviction on a broad corporate basis, both nationally and internationally. Sponsoring UEFA Women’s EURO this summer represents another step toward visibility, fairness, and genuine participation.”
Volkswagen joins an impressive sponsor lineup for the summer tournament, including adidas, Amazon, AXA, Booking.com, EA Sports, Euronics, Grifols, Heineken, Hublot, Just Eat Takeaway, Lay’s, LIDL, PlayStation, and Visa as official global partners of UEFA Women’s EURO 2025.
