November 18 – Galatasaray have sealed a significant back-of-jersey sponsorship deal with CW Enerji, a leading solar panel manufacturer in Turkey.
The signing ceremony took place at the Ali Sami Yen Sports Complex, Rams Park, and was attended by key figures, including Galatasaray President Dursun Aydın Özbek and CW Enerji Chairman of the Board T. Tarık Sarvan
In his address, Özbek emphasised the strategic importance of the agreement, linking it to the club’s long-term financial vision.
“This signing is not merely a sponsorship; it is the beginning of a journey where we walk together towards a future powered by the sun,” said Özbek. “This collaboration with CW Enerji will be a new step that supports Galatasaray’s sustainable financial structure. This project will benefit Turkish sports, just like our real estate vision, and will lead other clubs to take similar steps.”
Özbek highlighted CW Enerji as a brand that adds value to Turkey with its strong vision in renewable energy, sustainable investments, and technology-based production.
Volkan Yılmaz, CW Enerji Vice Chairman and CEO said: “We do not see the agreement we made with Galatasaray as merely a ‘jersey sponsorship.’ For us, this collaboration is a valuable step that increases the contribution of energy to sports and sports to society.”
Sarvan shared the company’s journey, which began in 2010, and their immense contribution to domestic production.
He said: “We have invested $530 million for domestic cell production… making our solar panels 90% domestic and national.” He concluded that the synergy created by Galatasaray’s strength on the field and CW Enerji’s power from the sun will create a story that “showcases Turkey’s energy to the world.”
The agreement marks a significant step for Galatasaray, aligning the club with the rapidly growing renewable energy sector and solidifying its commitment to financial sustainability and pioneering initiatives within Turkish sports.
