December 29 – Vietnamese telco Viettel has acquired rights to Asian Football Confederation (AFC) national team and club competitions in a multi-year deal starting January 1, 2026.
Designated as the Official media Partner for Vietnam, matches and other AFC content will be broadcast via Viettel’s TV360 platform, which reaches more than 10 million active users across Vietnam.
AFC General Secretary Datuk Seri Windsor John said: “Football in Vietnam has witnessed incredible ascendancy and progress over the years, and we are delighted to confirm this agreement with Viettel Group. We thank them for their confidence in the future of Asian football and we look forward to enhancing the appeal and reach of our world-class competitions amongst our passionate fanbase in Vietnam.”
TV360 rights include the Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027, the AFC Women’s Asian Cup Australia 2026 and the AFC U23 Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2026 as well as the 2028 edition. The partnership also covers a portfolio of other women’s, youth and futsal tournaments, including the Women’s Olympic Qualifying Tournament (Final Round) for Los Angeles 2028, the U20 Asian Cup 2027 in China, certain matches of the U17 Asian Cup from 2026 to 2028 in Saudi Arabia, the U20 Women’s Asian Cup Thailand 2026 as well as the 2028 edition, certain matches of the U17 Women’s Asian Cup in China PR from 2026 to 2028 and the Futsal Asian Cup Indonesia 2026 as well as the 2028 iteration.
In club competitions, TV360 will also broadcast the Champions League Elite, AFC Champions League Two and the AFC Women’s Champions League from the 2025/26 season (with matches commencing from January 1, 2026) through to the 2028/29 season.
