Rakuten launch #WheresBarça series on social using 360° illustrations

May 9 – Barcelona sponsor Rakuten have taken a leaf from the Where’s Wally books (Where’s Waldo in the US) and launched a digital #WheresBarça series on their Rakuten Arena Facebook channel.

Developed by Rakuten’s digital agency Goal Studios, the promo focusses on a 360° digital picture and asks fans to find the club’s stars in a series of illustrations.

The series launched ahead of FC Barcelona’s El Clásico showdown with Real Madrid last Sunday. The first illustration challenges fans to find Argentinian superstar Lionel Messi amongst a Camp Nou crowd who have invaded the pitch.

After finding Messi, fans were able to vote for which FC Barcelona player they wanted to find next in the #WheresBarça series with the top selection to be featured in the following illustration.
