Monaco agree agency deal with Capital Block as it explore NFT opportunity

March 29 – Ligue 1 club AS Monaco has agreed a partnership with NFT consultancy Capital Block who will become the become the official NFT agency of AS Monaco.

Capital Block is set up to advise sports clubs in the NFT space and as such is platform neutral, working on finding the best partners for clubs and building their NFT community and long term strategy in the fast developing area.

The club said that the new partnership will enable fans to collect and own some of the club’s best moments.

“This partnership with Capital Block will allow AS Monaco to strengthen its positioning in the field of digital innovation and improve the possibilities for fans to connect with the club. Every day that passes confirms the growing appeal of NFTs. Capital Block’s expertise will enable us to better understand this universe, to grasp the issues related to it and to definea solid and sustainable strategy,” said Oleg Petrov, Vice-president CEO of AS Monaco.

Capital Block is an extension of Capital Sports Media which manages media inventory for clubs in Europe, the middle east, North Africa and Turkey. Its NFT consultancy works with Turkey’s Galatasaray and Poland’s Legia Warsaw.

Under the deal with Monaco, Capital Block will have visibility across the club’s media platforms as it builds Monaco’s NFT community and launches the products.

“One of our first aims is to introduce AS Monaco and their fans to NFTs and how best to engage with them,” said CEOof Capital Block, Tim Mangnall.

“We know the incredible advantages of building an NFT strategy and will be implementing this in the coming months.
