Clubs allocated training bases across 14 states for Club World Cup 2025

June 4 – The 32 teams at the Club World Cup that kicks off June 14 will use 34 training bases in 14 states across the US. 20 of the facilities are at schools or universities.

Because of the scale of the competition and the long distance travel involved, teams will also use a range of other ‘Venue Specific Training Sites’ located close to match stadiums throughout the competition. They will be hubs for teams the day before matches and throughout the playoffs.

“These sites and more significantly the people and communities that surround them will welcome the world’s best, providing first-class environments and hospitality in support of the teams,” said FIFA secretary general, Mattias Grafström, who has taken over from FIFA president Gianni Infantino as the corporate face of the competition.

Florida leads the way in terms of number of base camps (9), followed by California (5), New Jersey (4), North Carolina (3), Virginia (2), Tennessee (2) and Washington (2). Locations in Georgia, Maryland, Michigan, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina and West Virginia will also play a hosting role throughout the competition.

The Major League Soccer (MLS) training centres of Charlotte FC, DC United, Inter Miami CF, Nashville SC, Philadelphia Union and Seattle Sounders will be used as Team Base Camp Training Sites throughout the tournament.
