December 18 – The fast-growing Baller League has named prediction market platform Kalshi as the front-of-shirt sponsor of Baller League USA.
The 6-a-side league that began in Germany and has now established itself in the UK via its Monday night football at London’s Copper Box is now planning its first steps in the US.

Kalshi’s logo will be on the front of all US team kits with Kalshi branding also appearing across stadiums and Baller League games being shown directly on Kalshi channels.
No value was given for the Kalshi sponsorship.
Gaming brand sponsorship of sports in the US is still in its infancy and to date not under the same scrutiny as in Europe.
Kalshi is in a slightly different space, as prediction markets are not considered traditional betting nor gambling, by US regulators but come under the remit of events contracts that are regulated by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).
Prediction platforms have grown rapidly grown in popularity in the US though have been met with caution by European regulators who see them as closer to betting than their US counterparts.
Traditional sports books see punters bet against the house. In a prediction market the trading is peer-to-peer with other users, with prices changing in real-time based on supply and demand.
