February 16 – Global beverage giant Coca-Cola has become an official partner of the Croatian FA (HNS) and the Croatian national football team.
Under this new multi-year agreement, Coca-Cola serves as the official refreshment, while Powerade takes on the role of the official sports drink for the national team.
The contract was signed by Marijan Kustić, President of the HNS, alongside Coca-Cola leadership: Gjorgji Hristov, General Manager of Coca-Cola Adria and Amela Čengić, Marketing and Commercial Excellence Director at Coca-Cola HBC Croatia.
The event took place during Coca-Cola’s annual internal employee conference and featured a panel discussion with Kustić and National Team Head Coach Zlatko Dalić, focusing on leadership, motivation, and team unity.
“The Croatian national team is Croatia’s most famous ‘product’ globally, and Coca-Cola is likely the world’s most famous brand. This partnership will allow for additional investment in football development at all levels”, said Kustić.
Coca-Cola brand Powerade will provide isotonic hydration for training and matches across all national team selections. The marketing focus of the collaboration will be built around inspiring fans and supporting the growth of the sport throughout Croatia.
“We are extremely proud to extend our commitment to Croatian football with this five-year sponsorship. Through Coca-Cola and Powerade, we want to support athletes at all levels and the system behind their success“, added Gjorgji Hristov, General Manager of Coca-Cola Adria
