Turks bank on future national team success with Fuzul

February 20 – The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) has signed a major sponsorship agreement with Fuzul, a leader in the savings-based finance sector.

The partnership, formalized at the Hasan Doğan National Teams Camp and Training Facilities, designates Fuzul as the Main Sponsor for both the Men’s and Women’s A National Teams for the next two years. No value was given for the sponsorship.

Opening the ceremony at the Orhan Saka Conference Hall, TFF President İbrahim Ethem Hacıosmanoğlu emphasised that this collaboration is a cornerstone of a broader strategy to elevate Turkish football on the global stage.

“Our goal is to carry Turkish football to a competitive and powerful level in every field through a transparent, planned, and sustainable management approach,” Hacıosmanoğlu said.

Eyüp Akbal, Chairman of Fuzul, delivered a passionate speech connecting the mechanics of the ‘Fuzul system’—which pools individual financial resources to create collective power—with the spirit of football.

“Football is exactly this: 11 stars uniting under the denominator of Turkey to become a single fist on the field,” Akbal remarked. He highlighted that Fuzul has spent 34 years helping more than 416,000 families achieve their dreams of home and automobile ownership through solidarity.

Akbal pledged that Fuzul would not be a silent partner. “We do not want to be just a name on a billboard; we want to be the name of the perseverance in training, the peace during travels, and the supporter standing by them at every step. We promise to be the invisible force behind ‘Our Children’ (Bizim Çocuklar) as they write new epics in European and World arenas.”

The ceremony also featured insights from the coaches of the national squads, both of whom expressed gratitude for the private sector’s investment.

The Women’s A National Team Head Coach, Necla Güngör Kıragası, drew a parallel between Fuzul’s mission of making dreams accessible and her team’s objective of increasing female employment and representation in the football ecosystem.

“Fuzul’s vision of patience, solidarity, and achieving together overlaps perfectly with our National Team’s vision,” Kıragası said. She looked ahead to the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup European Qualifiers (League B, Group 2) starting in March, noting that such sponsorships provide the “national spirit” required to compete at the highest level.

Men’s A National Team Head Coach Vincenzo Montella shared his enthusiasm for the partnership’s human element. He noted that while Fuzul helps people realize “small” dreams like buying a car, those milestones are life-changing for families—much like the “big” dream of reaching the World Cup is for the nation.

“Our biggest dream is to go to the World Cup. I hope we achieve this together,” Montella said. “This support is incredibly valuable to us as we chase the dreams of the entire country, both at home and abroad.”
The partnership comes at a critical juncture for Turkish football. With the Men’s team focused on the 2026 FIFA World Cup playoff path and the Women’s team climbing the international rankings.
