Premier League signs up with Dream in India

May 5 – The Dream Sports Foundation has signed a strategic partnership with the Premier League to lift coaching standards at the Dream Sports Championship 2026 in Goa, the under-16 tournament that has become one of the most important platforms in Indian youth football.

The Premier League will run a programme of coach education workshops and technical masterclasses across the tournament. Training methodology. Match preparation. Physical conditioning. Sports science. Leadership. The aim is to put globally benchmarked practices in the hands of Indian coaches working at the grassroots level.

“We are excited to partner with the Premier League for the Dream Sports Championships,” said Neel Shah, CEO of the Dream Sports Foundation. “Unlocking India’s footballing potential requires a strong focus on both player and coach development.”

Hrishikesh Shende, Managing Director of Premier League India, said: “The Premier League is committed to developing, growing, and improving football in India by sharing our expertise in coaching and youth player development. After opening our Mumbai office last year, a key focus has been to build on our longstanding legacy of developing football at grassroots levels through strategic partnerships.”

The Premier League is treating India as a long-term project rather than a touring opportunity and quietly building infrastructure on the ground.

Dream Sports Foundation already operates as the official youth development partner of the All-India Football Federation. The Premier League now plugs into that ecosystem directly.
