May 30 – Mirroring the men’s League Cup, played between clubs in the MLS and Mexico’s LigaMX sides, the NWSL and the Liga MX Femenil will debut the Summer Cup, kicking off July 19.

May 24 – Jamaica will open against Cuba and Costa Rica will start against Guadeloupe as they chase for places in the 2024/25 Concacaf Nations League quarter finals alongside pre-qualified Mexico, United States, Panama, and Canada.
May 14 – American Jesse Marsch is the new coach of Canada’s men’s national team after signing a contract through to the 2026 World Cup which the country is hosting with the USA and Mexico.
May 13 – Concacaf has released the schedule for second round of World Cup Qualifying that will begin next month complete in 2024.
May 13 – MLS club Philadelphia Union has signed a contract with 14-year-old attacking midfielder Cavan Sullivan that will see him earn an MLS record $500,000 annually, with a $5 million move to Manchester City when he turns 18.
May 10 – Concacaf has set the 2024 dates for its two regional cup competitions, the Caribbean Cup and the Central America Cup.
May 9 – The Canadian Premier League has launched the ‘On Tour’ series in an effort to expand the League to new communities across Canada’s vast coast-to-coast area.
May 7 – USA, Mexico, Panama and Canada have been pre-seeded into the quarter finals of the 2024/25 Concacaf Nations League that will be played over two-legs in the November 11-19 international fixtures window.
May 8 – Concacaf will unveil the brand identity for its new Concacaf W Champions Cup competition at the draw for the 11-team event on June 6.
May 6 – Peter Augruso has been elected unopposed as president of Canada Soccer at the confederation’s annual meeting.
May 3 – LigaMX’s CF Pachuca will face Columbus Crew from the MLS in the 2024 Concacaf Champions Cup Final on June 1, at Estadio Hidalgo in Pachuca.
May 2 – San Diego FC who make their MLS debut in 2025 are reportedly in discussion with Mexican winger Hirving ‘Chucky’ Lozano as their first big name signing, with a view to singing him in June before the start of the Copa America which is being played in the US.
May 1 – Concacaf is handing over the organization and management if its Caribbean Club Shield club competition to the Caribbean Football Union (CFU) from the 2024 edition onwards.
