India’s I-League set to draw line under season with Mohun Bagan as champions

April 20 – Kolkata giants Mohun Bagan will be declared Indian champions if the national federation confirms a recommendation by the I-League committee to cancel the remainder of the season in light of India’s nationwide lockdown.

April 17 – English Premier League clubs say they still remain committed to finishing the current season but have stopped short of imposing a June 30 deadline for a resumption while lockdown restrictions remain in place because of Covid-19.

April 17 – French amateur football won’t return this season, the French Football Federation (FFF) announced on Thursday. The fate of both Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 and the women’s top flight continue to remain in doubt.

UEFA to meet next week on Champions League and Europa League finish dates

April 17 – UEFA is holding a pivotal meeting of its executive committee next week which could finally decide how to conclude this season’s Champions League and Europa League with reports suggesting the two finals could take place at the end of August at their scheduled venues, Istanbul and Gdansk.

AFC pushes restart into July earliest, but still committed to November finish

April 15 – The Asian Football Confederation (AFC), the first regional body to postpone its international club and national team calendar when the coronavirus hit, has pushed back its competitions scheduled for May and June into July earliest, remaining fully committed to finishing its seasons on time. But only after public health issues are prioritised.
