Eagle Football raises first $40m in pre-IPO financing led by UCEA Capital Partners

November 27 – The multi-club ownership group ​Eagle Football Holdings, led by US businessman John Textor, has announced $40 million of initial equity investment towards a $100 million pre-IPO financing round, led by Portuguese investment fund UCEA Capital Partners.

Pashov offers $500k for troubled Lokomotiv Plovdiv, $2m off asking price

November 25 – Construction entrepreneur and investor Ivan Pashov (pictured) has announced he is ready to buy the controlling stake in Bulgaria’s Lokomotiv Plovdiv. Pashov said he is ready to pay BGN 1 million (€500 000) to current owner Hristo Krusharski in order to gain control of the Plovdiv club.

Deinze field youth team as seniors strike over unpaid wages and AAD money is slow to materialise

November 25 – In a sign of the club’s financial difficulties, Belgian second-division club Deinze fielded a junior team in their 3-0 home defeat against Francs Borains, as elite players refused to play due to unpaid wages.
