FA funds police unit to prosecute racial abuse on social media

June 13 – The English Football Association (FA) is to provide funding to the police to aid in the prosecution of individuals who abuse England’s players on social media at Euro 2024.

June 11 – Three Valencia football fans who racially abused Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior have each been jailed for eight months. The individuals were also given a two-year stadium ban from any venue hosting LaLiga matches.

June 7 – A French group campaigning against homophobia in football have filed a complaint against Ligue 1 players Mohamed Camara, Mostafa Mohamed and Nabil Bentaleb and their clubs Monaco, Nantes and Lille.
