September 26 – Ricardo Teixeira, head of the Organising Committee for the 2014 World Cup who only two months ago described English journalists as corrupt, is reportedly to be investigated for alleged money laundering and tax crimes.

Exclusive: Makudi fails to follow through on threat of suing Triesman over England 2018 allegations

September 25 – FIFA’s under-fire Executive Committee member Worawi Makudi has failed to follow up his threat to sue former English Football Association chairman Lord Triesman over allegations of corruption involving last December’s 2018 and 2022 World Cup ballots.
