Women’s Champions League draw sets up potential Arsenal-Chelsea, Real Madrid-Barca quarter finals

December 19 – Women’s Champions League holders Arsenal will face OH Leuven in the knockout phase play-off. If they win they will set up an all-Women’s Super League quarter final with Chelsea who have qualified directly to the quarter finals.

On the other side of the draw Real Madrid have been paired with Paris FC. If Real Madrid win they will set up a Women’s El Clasico with Barcelona in the quarter final.

UEFA set to launch 2028 Euro with Coca-Cola making it 11 championships in a row

November 12 – Ahead of tonight’s launch of the Euro 2028 tournament to be co-hosted by England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales, UEFA has announced the renewal of its long-running Coca-Cola partnership, with the soft drinks firm becoming an official global sponsor of UEFA EURO 2028, and designated as the official non-alcoholic beverage sponsor.

In London’s Piccadilly tonight UEFA will officially launch Euro 2028 with an unveiling of the tournament branding and the federations in town to promote their co-operation.

Munich in line for 2028 UCL final; Nou Camp and Wembley battle for 2029 hosting

October 31 – Munich’s Allianz Arena is poised to host the 2028 Champions League match with London’s Wembley and Barcelona’s Nou Camp contesting the hosting rights for the 2029 showpiece match.

On Friday, European governing body UEFA confirmed the list of interested bidders from among its member associations for the European club finals in 2028 and 2029. UEFA said that it had received declarations of interest from 16 member associations to host the 2028 and 2029 club finals,

Record breaking Euro 2025 delivered Swiss hosts €220m of economic impact

September 14 – UEFA’s record-breaking Women’s EURO 2025 saw a €220 million boost in economic activity for host nation Switzerland.

UEFA has released more numbers surrounding EURO 2025 that saw 29 of the 31 games sold-out, and an average attendance of more than 20,000 for the first time at a Women’s EURO. In total a record 657,291 tickets were sold, of which 35% went to international spectators.
