October 10 – The UK and Ireland were today confirmed as joint hosts of Euro 2028 following a meeting of the UEFA Executive Committee amid considerable debate over how the qualification process will work.

October 5 – On a night of high and low emotions in the Champions League, Newcastle United spectacularly overcame star-studded PSG 4-1 at an electric St James Park, while Belgian champions Antwerp failed to win their first-ever UCL match after giving away a two-goal lead on home soil in a 3-2 defeat to Shakhtar Donetsk of Ukraine.
October 4 – UEFA have announced they have received the formal bid by Turkey and Italy to jointly host the 2032 European Championships, leaving Britain and Ireland as the sole bidder for the 2028 tournament, subject to final approval from the governing body’s executive committee next week.
October 3 – UEFA has launched ticket sales for next year’s European championship in Germany with ticket prices ranging from €30 in the group stages to €2,000 for the final.
September 27 – The UEFA executive committee have appointed the Warsaw, Poland, as hosts of the 2024 UEFA Super Cup at their meeting in Limassol, Cyprus.

September 24 – Belgium upset the Netherlands 2-1 to kick off their Nations League campaign on a high and throw Group A1 wide open.
September 22 – Less than two weeks after Hansi Flick’s departure, Germany have appointed Julian Nagelsmann as new manager to lead the national team until the European Championship on home soil.
September 21 – UEFA’s inaugural Nations League will kick off a new era for European women’s football on Friday with more competitive matches, two tickets for the Olympic Games at stake, and an impact on qualifying for Euro 2025.
September 21 – Liverpool begin their Europa League campaign as hot favourites to lift the title for a fourth time with most odds being offered around 7/2. Compare this to Brighton at around 12-1 and Roma, third favourite at 16-1, bookies are taking no chances in terms of where they expect to be the UEL winners.
September 20 – UEFA says it is “monitoring the situation and is in close contact” with Azerbaijan authorities in case matches are affected by the historic territorial conflict with Armenia over the Nagorno-Karabakh region which has just flared up again.

September 13 – The European 2024 qualifier between Romania and Kosovo at the Arena Nationala in Bucharest on Tuesday night was interrupted for nearly 40 minutes because of political banners raised by Romanian ultras.
