Sergio Aguero sues Barca for £3m of unpaid 2021 contract

Greek players pay tribute to George Baldock with maiden win over England at Wembley

October 11 – It was the perfect tribute to a player who died tragically young. Greece beat England on Thursday for the first time in history and celebrated by holding up the No. 2 jersey of George Baldock, the Panathinaikos defender who was found dead in his Athens home the previous day at the age of 31.

LaLiga expands Saudi links with 3-year Riyadh Season sponsorship

October 10 – LaLiga has announced a three-season commercial partnership with Saudi Arabia’s Riyadh Season – a series of entertainment, cultural, and sporting events held in the kingdom’s capital of Riyadh –  become an official sponsor of Spain’s top football division until 2027.

Atletico issue life ban to missile throwing fan at last weekend’s Madrid derby

October 1 – Atletico Madrid have imposed a permanent stadium ban on a fan who police identified as throwing an object on to the pitch during Sunday’s LaLiga match against local rivals Real Madrid that was halted for 15 minutes.

Atletico fans halt Madrid derby as Courtois bombarded after goal celebration

September 30 – Sunday’s LaLiga derby between Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid was temporarily suspended in the 69th minute when home fans hurled objects on to the pitch after defender Eder Militao had scored the opener for the visitors five minutes earlier.
