Ancelotti critical of RFEF for not suspending all matches after flood tragedy

November 5 – The tragedy of flash floods in Spain that have killed more than 215 people in the Valencia region has shocked the world. In response the Royal Spanish FA (RFEF) cancelled the La Liga matches between Valencia and Real Madrid, as well as Villarreal’s game against Rayo Vallecano.

Turkish authorities refuse to allow Beşiktaş to host Maccabi Tel Aviv in Istanbul

November 5 – The Europa League match between Beşiktaş and Maccabi Tel Aviv will not be played in Istanbul. The announcement was made by the club and UEFA after consultation with Turkish authorities.

UEFA hit Serbia with fine and partial ground closure over anti-Kosovan gibe at Xhaka

November 4 – The intense political enmity between Serbia and Kosovo has spilled on to the football field yet again with UEFA’s disciplinary committee fining the Serbian FA €52,500 and partially closing Serbia’s home ground for their next home match in UEFA competitions.
