November 8 – The Confederation of African Football (CAF) have responded to Lagardère Sports’ complaint over the termination of its rights contract arguing that the regional body had no choice following an Egyptian Competition Authority (ECA) decision in 2017 that the contract was null and void.
November 8 – UEFA has launched its ‘Football Federations of the Future’ programme, an extension of the UEFA GROW initiative, which aims to give national federations the shared expertise and services to develop both commercially and in participation levels.

November 5 – The Confederation of African Football’s 12-year contract with Lagardere Sport (LS), which is supposed to last until 2028, is on the verge of ending. CAF has formally written to LS to terminate its contract.

November 4 – As well as VAR making headlines after another weekend of top-flight action across Europe, racism was once again at the forefront of controversy – and yet again in Italy where striker Mario Balotelli kicked a ball into the stands and briefly walked off in protest at being targeted by Hellas Verona fans.
