September 10 – Armed security forces have been drafted in to protect the offices of the Cameroon Football Federation in Yaounde after angry fans threatened to ransack the building following a potentially pivotal defeat.

Johannesburg to host 2013 African Nations Cup qualifying draw next month

June 25 – The Confederation of African Football (CAF) and the board of the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations have confirmed the final qualifying round draw for the tournament will take place in Johannesburg on July 5.

2013 African Nations Cup costs revealed by South Africa’s Organising Committee boss

May 18 – Mvuzo Mbebe, the head of the Organising Committee of the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations being held in South Africa, has said the tournament will cost a total of R400 million (£30 million/$48 million/€38 million).

May 4 – The South African Sports Minister Fikile Mbalula has confirmed that the host cities for next year’s African Cup of Nations next year will be Johannesburg, Nelspruit, Rustenburg, Port Elizabeth and Durban.

April 13 – The draw for the Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa next year will take place on October 26, it has been revealed by Confederation of African Football (CAF) secretary general Hicham El Amrani.
