December 10 – Sweden and Norway are set to drop plans to submit a joint bid to host the 2016 European Championships after the two countries Governments refused to support it financially.

December 7 – Ukraine and Poland, co-hosts of the 2012 European Championship, have said that they are confident that UEFA will accept the four Ukrainian cities put forward to host matches.
November 19 - The 12 cities that will host matches if France wins its bid for Euro 2016 have been selected.
November 4 – Poland’s Culture and National Heritage Minister Bogdan Zdrojewski and Sports and Tourism Minister Adam Giersz today signed a cooperation agreement to promote the Euro 2012 through cultural measures.
