May 12 – In a significant move that will be a massive boost to runaway leaders Liverpool and a potential blow to those at the other end of the table, the Premier League will not be declared null and void if the season cannot be completed, meaning the title will be awarded and three clubs relegated as usual.
Here in England, we still do not know how, or if, the 2019-20 Premier League season will be allowed to finish. But it already feels safe enough to predict with some confidence that the 2020-21 financial year will be a bloodbath for English top-tier clubs.

May 11 – The whole concept of resuming top-flight football, which has split public opinion down the middle both on sporting and moral grounds, has suffered a blow with the entire squad of Dynamo Dresden, who play in the second tier of German football, put into two-week isolation after two players tested positive for coronavirus.
The past few weeks openly reflect the insanity of what global football’s governors consider to be intelligent conduct. They also unveil the stench in the trenches of Swiss justice and more so, on the proper administration of justice.
May 11- One week after a federal judge threw out their claim against the US Soccer Federation for equal pay, the US Women’s National Team have filed their widely anticipated appeal.

May 11 – One of Iraq’s most famous footballers has been appointed to the prime minister’s cabinet as Minister of Youth and Sports for the country. Adnan Dirjal, who has capped 121 times for his country and was the driving force behind the recent mass resignation of the Iraqi FA, began work in his new post at the weekend.
