February 28 – Manchester City has unveiled design concepts for the expansion of the Etihad Stadium capacity to more than 60,000, and the creation of an upgraded entertainment, sport and leisure centre on a widened footprint of the Etihad Campus.
December 13 – Manchester City is looking at plans to increase the capacity of the Etihad stadium to 60,000 as well as boost facilities around the stadium footprint.
May 25 – City Football Group (CFG), owner of Manchester City, has become an equal partner and investor in the development of Co-op Live, the new sports and entertainment venue being built on the Etihad Campus in Manchester, next door to the home of CFG’s flagship club.
