November 3 – UK football charity, the Football Foundation, has launched its new ‘Power Up Your Grass Pitch’ campaign, with the ambition goals of reaching over 7,000 ‘good quality’ grass pitches by 2024 and 20,000 by 2030.
July 30 – The £7 million government grant to England’s Pitch Preparation Fund, administered by the Football Foundation grassroots charity, will see 40,131 teams given a boost.
June 29 – While English focus has been on the restart of the Premier League and Championship, grassroots football has received a boost with the FA and the Government, through Sport England, making £2.19 million available via the Football Foundation to help clubs return to football.
