Colombia’s Ramón Jesurún keeps his seat on FIFA Council

April 11 – Colombia’s Ramón Jesurún has retained his seat on the FIFA Council. At Thursday’s 80th Conmebol Congress, Jesurún was re-elected unopposed to serve another term on the FIFA Council, the highest decision-making body of the world federation.

August 27 – Charges have been dropped against Colombian FA chief and FIFA Council member Ramón Jesurún more than  a month after he and his son were arrested in the chaos that unfolded at the Copa America final  in Miami.

Rojas recuses herself from investigation of Colombian FA World Cup ticket scam

August 21 – Unconfirmed reports say FIFA has opened a preliminary investigation into the Colombian Football Federation (FCF) over the resale of tickets for World Cup qualifying matches which, if true, would represent another blow to the credibility of Conmebol in the wake of the FifaGate scandal.
