June 13 – Football super-agent Mino Raiola has had a three-month worldwide ban from football activity suspended by the Court of Arbitration for Sport while it processes his appeal, with a final decision to be made at the beginning of July.

June 1 – Atletico Madrid have reacted furiously after the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) threw out their last-ditch appeal against a transfer ban imposed by FIFA for signing non-Spanish players under the age of 18, saying the verdict will cause “irreparable damage”.

December 21 – In what FIFA will surely consider a blow to their efforts to stamp out under-age players moving overseas prematurely,  Real Madrid have had their ban on transfer signings reduced to one window following a successful appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
