“Considering the strategic aims, priorities and challenges the UEFA facing with, the Hungarian Football Federation deems it necessary for the proper candidate to be able to govern the organization in the long run, while being professional and adequately prepared with outstanding leadership skills…” said the Hungarian statement.

“Regardless of the outcome of the election it is the desire of the HFF that the new president shall strengthen the both the professional quality, as well as the social responsibility of the organization. It should also be noted that the transparency of the UEFA must be guaranteed in all circumstances, and in order to attain all the objectives strong collaboration and team-work is advisable with the national federation on an operational level.”
