Man City dial in TECNO Mobile with global deal

December 2 – Manchester City have added Chinese-based mobile phone brand, TECNO Mobile, as a new global partner. Described as a multi-year deal, no amount for the sponsorship was announced.

TECNO, part of Transsion Holdings, has grown its global presence to more than 40 emerging markets, many of which are target markets for Man City and where the club’s fan base is growing.

TECNO Mobile will be the Official Tablet and Handset Partner of Manchester City and according to a club press release will “grow their strategic marketing and advertising campaigns across the globe, including Africa where TECNO is already recognised as the market’s leading mobile phone brand.”

TECNO has an accumulative sales volume of 114 million units and is one of the top three mobile phone brands in Africa with a rapidly growing global footprint.
